Located amidst the bustling Atrium lobby, the Article One Lounge provides a prime DC bar for mingling, catching up on the day's current events or simply people watching for the who's who on Capitol Hill. The lounge is centered by community tables, complete with nine 20-inch flat screen televisions, perfect for meeting friends and co-workers. The lounge offers a selection of appetizers, sandwiches and specialty cocktails.

Similar to the restaurant, our Washington DC bar also has two semi-private lounge areas available to be reserved with bottle service for up to 12 guests each or for a combined 24 guests.
Article One - American Grill
Savor flavorful creations in the charming atrium setting of our downtown Washington DC restaurant. Named for the corresponding article of the U.S. Constitution establishing the structure of Congress, Article One is conveniently situated in the newly remodeled Atrium lobby. The restaurant offers a casual location for breakfast and lunch each day, while featuring upscale dining for dinner each evening. Choose from a selection of unique dishes blending local influences, organic products and grilled favorites with a creative twist.

Breakfast will feature Hyatt's signature breakfast menu in addition to a daily breakfast buffet. For lunch, enjoy a selection of creative soups, salads, sandwiches and grilled entrees. Dinner provides an upscale grill menu, featuring Certified Angus Beef steaks, chops, and seafood. Generous side dishes and a selection of desserts pair nicely with the grill menu.

Two semi-private dining rooms are available to be reserved for up to 14 guests, or the rooms can be combined for up to 28 guests.

Take George Washington Pkwy. Exit on I-395 N. to Washington. Follow signs to I-395 N./U.S. Capitol. Take the exit for US Senate/D Street/I-395 N. Stay in right lane through two tunnels. In the second tunnel, pass the US Capitol exit to D St. Turn right at the light at the end of the tunnel onto D St. Go to 2nd traffic light and turn left onto New Jersey Ave. Our downtown Washington DC area hotel is on the left.

From Dulles International Airport:
Follow signs to Washington D.C. on Dulles Toll/Access Rd. Follow center lane (no toll) to I-66 E. to Washington. Cross Roosevelt Br. Follow signs to Constitution Ave. toward U.S. Capitol. Proceed 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Louisiana Ave., NW. Travel to 3rd light. Turn left on New Jersey Ave. Our DC area hotel is on the left.

From Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport:
Exit airport on I-195 W. Merge onto MD-295 S. via exit 2B toward Washington. Merge onto New York Ave NE/US-50 td Washington. Stay on New York Ave. for four miles. Make a left onto N. Capital Street, proceed for one mile. Make a right onto E St., proceed for one block. Make a left onto New Jersey Avenue, hotel is on the right.

From Points North:
Take I-95 S. to exit 22B (Balt-Wash Pkwy S.). Exit on Rt 50 W. toward Washington, then exit on New York Ave. Stay on New York Ave for four miles. Make a left onto N. Capital St., proceed for one mile. Make a right onto E Street, proceed for one block. Make a left onto New Jersey Ave., hotel is on the right.

From Points South:
Take I-95 N. to I-395 toward Washington. As you go over the Potomac River, stay in middle lanes. At the end of the bridge, veer right and continue following signs for I-395 N. Proceed for one mile, then take the exit for US Senate/D Street/I-395 N. Stay in right lane through two tunnels. In the second tunnel, pass the US Capitol exit to D St. Turn right at the light at the end of the tunnel onto D St. Go to 2nd traffic light and turn left onto New Jersey Ave. Hotel is on the left.

From Points West:
Take I-66 E. or Rt 50 td Washington to the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Exit onto Constitution Ave. Follow Constitution Ave td the US Capitol. A few blocks before the Capitol, make a left onto Louisiana Ave, proceed for two blocks. Make a left onto New Jersey Avenue, hotel is one block down on the left.

From Northwest (I-270):
Take I-270 S. toward Washington. Keep right to take I-270 Spur S. td I-495 S. in the direction of Washington/Northern VA. I-270 Spur becomes I-495. Take exit 43 to the George Washington Memorial Pkwy td Washington. Follow the GW Parkway until it merges with I-395 N. td Washington. In the second tunnel, pass the US Capitol exit to D St. Turn right at the light at the end of the tunnel onto D St. Go to 2nd traffic light and turn left onto New Jersey Ave. Hotel is on the left.
